Landscape Consulting
We offer in-depth landscape consultation culminating in a landscape plan, or we can
provide a series of sketches of landscape possibilities.

Naturalizing and
Planting for Wildlife
We work very hard to achieve a more natural or casual look. We plant many native
species but use only those plant materials that are suitable for a particular site.
The diversity of plants we use also provides an attractive habitat and food source for
birds.

 Planting
We supply and plant perennials, ground covers, ornamental grasses,
shrubbery and trees of all sizes and varieties. We use a diversity
of plants for year round interest. Our plants are all personally
selected from the best growers and suppliers in New England.
We guarantee all of our high quality plants. We add only organics
and minerals to the soil when planting. We do not use or advocate
the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides in the landscape.

Lawn Alternatives
We actively encourage homeowners to reduce the size of turf grass
areas. We design and plant compositions of many attractive
and low maintenance plants, often of value to wildlife.

Transplanting
We can transplant anything in the landscape from perennials and ground covers to all types
of shrubbery and trees (up to 45 feet tall).

Excavation and Machine Work
We have machines to accomplish anything in the landscape.
We routinely: put and remove stumps; re-contour land; re site hillsides
and ledges; set large stones; create natural ponds, swimming and
garden pools; site tennis courts and driveways.

Swimming Pools and Garden Pools
We site and construct all types of swimming pools, decks and surrounding landscapes.
Our garden pools and water features add a unique dimension to the landscape.

Tennis Courts
We site, contour and plant around tennis courts to blend the court into the landscape
rather than have it dominate the property.

Driveways and Courtyard Areas
We carefully establish the parameters and contours for all paved
areas so they are functional, as well as aesthetically pleasing.

 Stonewalls
We build mortared fieldstone walls where they are most needed for retaining.
More often, we build casual, freestanding fieldstone walls for background
or definition in the landscape.
Terraces and Walkways
We build terraces and walkways of brick, bluestone, cobblestone and natural stone.
Our emphasis is on curvilinear forms that compliment the natural landscape.

Site Work and Grading
We do everything from excavator and dozer work to finish grading, seeding and plantings.

Irrigation and Water Lines
We install irrigation and water lines only where they are necessary.
We believe water is a precious resource and we don't encourage unnecessary
watering of plants and lawns.

Drainage Work
We offer surface and subsurface drainage installation as well as drainage solutions for
problem areas.

Tree Pruning and Tree Removal
One of our strengths in assisting homeowners to develop a strategy
for maintaining desirable trees and for making decisions about which
trees to thin our or remove.

Perennial Gardens
We design and plant both formal and informal perennial gardens. We often use shrub
roses and ornamental grasses as accents in the garden, and as mass planting outside
the garden.
